Welcome.

Design + Brand.

We're a small graphic design firm focused on direct solutions to clients' brand identities. Our work spans the fields of graphic design, brand strategies, photography and film, web development + design and print.

What We Do.

Mark.

We focus primarily on logo design for small to medium-sized businesses who lead in their industries. We design behind the principle that an identifying mark is simple, created to be used rigorously over time to make the desired difference in an organization's standing and performance.

What We Do.

Documentation.

We offer a retainer-based long-term documentation of all processes undertaken by our clients. This is a limited service.

Documentation encompasses physical application of the client's identity across various media, and the archival, tracking and curation of the client's activities through print, photography and film.

This process ensures that the design principles are upheld as intended, and are applied across the board over time. This also allows us to assess the effectiveness of the client's identity, and track the responses of its users along with its effect on the client's performance.

Documentation is a long-term, retainer-based service.

What We Don't do.

Hourly Rates.

We do not charge by time spent. We charge on the value offered to the client, based on their scale and reach. Charging by time penalizes us as designers when we provide a solid solution rapidly. Our work is done to have a direct effect on sales and performance, we charge and appraise our work accordingly.

Revisions.

We do not allow for design-based client revisions. We work under the principle that identities take effect over time, and that we are hired for our tastes. We assess the client's place in the market, their current situation, and what can be done strategically to make a difference.

Revisions dilute our offered value, they disrupt the process, and most importantly, they forbid the work from being tested on the field through user experience. We have found that too many revisions ultimately damage the work we do. We opt for rapid iteration during organic release over designing several drafts by committee towards a formal launch.

In order to offer our full worth, the client's personal preference is off the table. We invite clients to hire agencies that allow for this if it does not suit their needs. If we see during the process that our work needs further evaluation or development, we alone make that decision.

What We're careful about.

Social Media.

When social media emerged, it was a way for pioneering business to stand out. In its current ubiquitous nature, it is now a likely way to blend in and disappear. It is often ventured into for its own sake, and more often than not there is no real reason to leverage it.

We lean toward clients with a physical presence, we tend to favor applying our work to physical media, as nothing, especially nowadays, can replace the value of appearing in person in the physical world.

If we can determine a valid reason to utilize social media for the purpose of increasing a client's reach and bettering their performance, we opt to do so minimally. People do not exist online, they exist in the world.

Third Parties.

As much as is possible, we avoid working with third parties. We prefer to keep our work in-house in order to maintain control.

Working with third parties opens the door to design-by-committee, and this is detrimental to producing work that stands out.
